Happy New Year 2009

Today is the last day of the Year 2008. I have no elsewhere to go and just stay at home surf Internet and chatting with my net friends. As the summary of this year, although I have not archieved any targets but there are still something worth to be taken down: first and foremost, my wife and me lodged our migration application though there is still pending to be assigned a Case Officer but at least we made our first step. Second, I published my first paper in my life and the second, the third, the fourth is on the way and hopefully it can be born in year 2009. Third, I visited Hong Kong, a crowned city in August, definitely great experiences in my life. Also, there are something frustrating me. The most important one, maybe, should goes to my career prospect. Getting less salary is not something I should worried in my current age but what I worried is the current enviorment could not help me improve my skills much.

In the coming new year, I wish all my loved family members and friends could have a meaningful year. Happy New Year.

Paper published in LYICT 2008

Last few weeks I was engaged in preparing a paper for LYICT 2008. It was a bit rush out but fortunately it finally get published and it is my first conference paper. Some information here:

Date: 7-8 July 2008
Venue: Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
My paper: Merge with IT industry Interests is Vital for University IT Courses Success
Co-author: Su Y. LEE

Em... as you can see there are many empty chairs, so actually there are only 10-15 audiences in this room. Anyway, a nice chance for me to improve my presentation skill and it certainly rise my interest in publication.

Busy? Relax?

I haven't post articles for a quite long while. It's simply because there are not many things happened in the past few months. My migration application is still moving slowly and no response from Australia side. Also, no surprised to me that I've only got RM 70+ for my increment (or I shouldn't expect much from the first day join in INTI.) but anyway I should be happy for at least I got increment and someone even worse. But not everything goes bad, at least I've got another paper going to be published in a conference and few papers are on the way. Moreover, my lovely wife and me booked a Hong Kong trip and hopefully I can post some fabulous photos after.

It's the first day of my college's eighth week, not the time to relax and not very busy at the moment.

Quatation to share - Churchill

1. A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. 2. A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
3. A prisoner of war is a man who tries to kill you and fails, and then asks you not to kill him.
4. Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
5. If we open a quarrel between past and present, we shall find that we have lost the future.
6. It is a fine thing to be honest, but it is also very important to be right.
7. It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.
8. Kites rise highest against the wind - not with it.
9. Let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning.
10. The British nation is unique in this respect. They are the only people who like to be told how bad things are, who like to be told the worst.
11. There are a terrible lot of lies going about the world, and the worst of it is that half of them are true.
12. We shall show mercy, but we shall not ask for it.
